Aux TV’s Band Foto episode featuring Mother Mother airing tonight on Rogers 107

Mother Mother will be featured tonight (Feb 16) on an episode of Band Foto, airing on the Aux TV channel (Rogers 107) at 9:00pm ET. For those who do not get the Aux TV channel, the episode will be up online in one week for all to watch on the Band Foto webpage.

CBC’s Q Performance & Interview – Friday, February 19

Mother Mother will be appearing on CBC’s Q with host Jian Ghomeshi this Friday, February 19 for an acoustic performance and interview. The show airs at 10am ET/PT on CBC Radio One (for other time zones, check your local listings here). Also appearing on the show will be Stars, comedian Brent Butt, performance artist/musician Laurie Anderson and director Robert LePage. Be sure to tune in!

Project Haiti
January 19.2010

Mother Mother has donated the song “Hayloft” to Project Haiti, a Haiti relief initiative spearheaded by The Province, HevyD’s Kettle Korn, Music BC and Save-On-Foods. “Hayloft” is up for download by donation on The Province’s website, other BC artists donating their works to the initiative include Bend Sinister, We Are The City, Dan Mangan and Adaline among others. “Hayloft” will be up from January 19-25, next week different tracks by other BC artists will be up for download. All proceeds go to the Red Cross’ Haiti relief fund.

Mother Mother Win 2009 Bucky Award for Best Live Act!

Today the 2009 CBC Radio 3 Bucky Award winners were announced, winners were chosen by the fans and Mother Mother won for Best Live Act! Many many thanks to all who took the time to vote each day, and a big thanks to everyone who came out to one or more of the 100+ shows we played throughout 2009, picked up a record (or two!), requested/demanded our songs to air on the radio, told their friends about us or any other act of good will that has helped us grow, we couldn’t have done any of it without you! Happy holidays!

Mother Mother is pleased to announce their return to Calgary, this time for a headlining performance at The Gateway (SAIT campus) on January 22, 2010 with special guests Maurice. Tickets go on sale to the general public December 1 at 10:00am, and presenters X92.9 are running a presale to its X Army members tomorrow, November 24 at 10:00am. Mother Mother Makes The 2009 Bucky Award Short List!

The short list nominees for the CBC Radio 3 2009 Bucky Awards have been announced today, and Mother Mother have maintained their nomination for “Best Live Act” and “Sexiest Musician” (Molly Guldemond). Head over to the CBC Radio 3 website to cast your vote!

Voting begins now and closes November 29 at 12:00am PST. As before, everyone is entitled to vote in each category once per day, and those who would like to vote will need to register (or be registered) with the CBC Radio 3 website which is very quick and simple to do.

The winners will be announced on December 9th during a live special Bucky Awards broadcast on CBC Radio 3.
